Abs light on, and won't start

2009 Chevrolet Matiz
Car: Chevrolet Matiz
Year: 2009
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
A few days ago my Matiz wouldn't start. it bump started ok. I've had to do this a few times. I tried to bump start it today but the engine management light started flashing. I then got a friend to jump start it, it started straight away. then I noticed that the ABS light was on. I tried to drive to work but when I used the break to slow down the car just died. now it will not start or even turn over.
any advice as to what the problem could be.?

About the only thing I can think off without testing would be a can/bus failure.
To explain,
all the cars computer modules are connected via this can system,
If there are faults in either the modules or wire/connectors then there won't be any information going back and forth in these wires/systems.
First step would be to connect up a scanner and see IF there's any communication with any modules,
and if so are there any fault codes registered.
If there's no comms then communication has to be established.
Not a lot of help to you I know.
But if the scanner can't read then the modules can't read each other.
And no module communication means for example,
the engine ECU doesn't even know if the vehicle is moving or not.
Get it scanned.
