2007 Chevrolet Kalos engine light and hold light

My engine light keeps coming on. And at times the hold light comes on or flashes. Or both flash. When this happens the car kind of chugs... like it's not getting enough power.
Has recently had new battery/ brakes / and full coil pack. Still has problem.... you continue to drive and so far it goes away after a while....

Better to scan car and see what has triggered light than fit parts that may not be the cause .
