Loud clicking noise from wheel

2001 BMW 7 Series 728
Car: BMW 7 Series
Year: 2001
Variant: 728
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Originally i could only hear the noise when turning hard left at speed. The noise is a rythmical loud! clicking (more than a knocking) noise. However, I have now noticed that it has began to make the noise when ever I drive over 20 mph.

It doesn't sound like a wheel bearing problem.

Any thoughts?

i would say that its sounds like a suspension component on the front ie wishbone bushes or even a drop link

does this noise stop when you apply the brakes? if it does, i have found on occasions that the brake pads chatter in the carrier behind the calipers. having said that, it could also be a suspension problem. see how you get on!! hope this helps!!
