After using the car there is a loud ticking noise coming from the engine. I had this problem before on my old car & it was the hydraulic valve. Could this be the same problem with my BMW? I'd like to know before i buy any parts. Thanks, Aron.

could be as you have said but before you go to the extreme of buying parts for the problem i would try using a engine oil flush and replace the oil and filter and see how you go from there if the problem still persists then look at buying the replacement parts
