Rear Disc

2005 BMW 3 Series coupe 318 sport
Car: BMW 3 Series
Year: 2005
Variant: coupe 318 sport
I have been told that the rear disc is gone in my BMW. The garage has told me it has effectively collapsed into itself and will need to be reconditioned. Is this a common problem? What might be the cause of it? I only have the car 11 months and already the cat converter has needed to be replaced. Really not impressed.

Never heard of that happening with a brake disc before ,thought it would be straightforward to fit replacement disc .Maybe someone else can explain what they meant by "effectively collapsed into itself and will need to be reconditioned "

collapsed into itself sounds like a load of old bull to me,it is easy to renew the discs so just do this
