Limp home mode

2003 BMW 3 Series 330 CI SSG
Car: BMW 3 Series
Year: 2003
Variant: 330 CI SSG
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Continually goes into limp home mode, replaced the idle control valve which seemed to cure it for about 3 weeks. Diagnostics say 'P1633 throttle valve adaptation, limp home mode'. Not sure where to go from here, I am new to this, any suggestions out there?

have a garage with adequate gear to reset the throttle adaption. these cars are too clever for there own good. it needs to be told that it had a new IAC. then pehaps it may be ok
