1996 BMW 3 Series overheating and only blowing cold air

Car: BMW 3 Series
Year: 1996
Variant: 1.8i se manual

car overheats after running for about a hour it goes in the red an blows cold air only an when i put it on blowing air on full it still dont cool down?

i have changed the radiator an themostat an the hose pipes from rad, still no good.

head gasket is also fine.
other than that car runs good, engine is immaculate, no cream in oil cap.

hi there, sounds like you either have a large air lock in the heater matrix or possibly a cracked head. before continuing, remove the water pump abd check the impeller... these have a habbit of breaking off. if thats good then i suspect the above. hope this helps!!

Hey, overheating seems to be a commen fault with the 1.8's mine also did this. Try changing the waterpump and seal it tends to be the soloution in most cases and the reason your not getting hot air is because the radiator system will be airlocked so for time being just bleed the radiator and that should do you for a week.
