Windshieled wiper water gets hot

When i check my windshield wiper water gets hot in the water tank but the temperature gauge is normal. what causes this wiper wash water to be that hot. is it supposed to be hot anyway?

Check washer bottle to see if anything fitted , if not may be heat from engine , though unusual .Think some Mercs used to have an option where the washer bottle was heated .
