Not starting!

Ignition switch ?

The ignition switch is fine!
Could the immobilser possibly be at fault? And would you be able to bump start the car if the immobiliser was on??

Have you tested starter circuit to see if there is power getting to motor ? Is there a relay for starter on that year / model .You could have a bad chassis earth . An easy way to check this is to take a set of jumper cables and connect one end to the engine and the other to the chassis.

There didn't seem to be power to the starter and i'm not sure about a relay as yet! I removed the fuse to double check and upon putting it back it all seems to work fine again! Not convinced that this won't happen again but could resetting the system cure something like this?

Better check if there is current that goes through your solenoid terminal when the key is in starting position.If there is not better check your relay or through the harness up to your ignition switch.

On your question on resetting its DME,yes its better to have it diagnosed by a scanner if my first advice wont work.Maybe tour neutral safety maybe faulty.
