2003 Audi A6 hazards work, indicators don't!

Indicators started to play up a while ago but was just an intermittant problem at first. Sometimes were fine, other times stopped after 4-8 flashes but the problem became more frequent until they completely gave up the ghost recently. Hazards work perfectly fine! Any ideas please?

had an a8 with simular problem that was the stalk i checked the power out and 0v when stalk waggled power came so in that case easy.if you have any electrical background suggest you find power out and but if not working now youll have 2 use wireing diagramor try taking it 2 an auto electrician
