Alarm keeps going off 30 secs after door is locked

2002 Audi A3 1.9tdi
Car: Audi A3
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.9tdi
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My car alarm is going off every time i lock my car after about 30 seconds.
At the moment the only way to lock the car has been to remove the fuse for the central locking which seems to disable the alarm.
Before this there have also been occasions where the interior lights have flickered on and off from the neutral position.
Also I noticed recently there is a ticking sound coming from the dash to the right of the steering wheel somewhere above where the fuses are kept.
Its not the clock(!) The clock and stereo do not reset themselves when i turn off the ignition.
Im assuming this is prob an electrical fault but i dont really know where to start.
Thanks

Thanks. Will check all the doors. May be the boot. That has caused problems in the past.

THanks.
TUrned out girlfriend was gently closing passenger door. THis was enough to stop the dashboard door open indicator from going off but not enough to close the circuit for alarm and internal lights.
When it was shut properly it worked fine and has done since.
Thanks a lot
