Condensation & dampness

2005 Audi A3 1.6
Car: Audi A3
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.6
Categories: Leaks & Noises
My car develops excessive condensation on the windows at any time of day, even when temperatures aren't too low. To clear it means wiping it with a cloth, which becomes soaking wet, then turning on the heating to dry the rest. There is also a dampness, which has resulted in mould forming. Water also collects in the spare wheel well. I had the same problem with a VW Golf, which was a poor cable connection under the boot door. I've checked all round my Audi boot door and the body for seal splits, bodywork holes, etc. but all seems fine.
Any ideas?

If you cannot find any leaks, don't forget to check your heater matrix (heater) for leaks, a leaking matrix will give all the problems you describe

Check rear washer pipes as they sometimes leak at connections on that car also .
