1994 Audi 80 juddering in 3 4 5 gear at low revs

Car: Audi 80
Year: 1994
Variant: 1.9 tdi estate
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
1st and 2nd gear are fine but when i change into the higher gears, the car judders at the low rev range until it hits the turbo range. This is not caused by changing gear to early just as i accelerate, it then stops after the revs build up, then happens again after i gear up an the revs drop again can any body give me some advice. I have also tried using diesel fuel additive (redex) does not seem to do much to rectify the problem

Have you checked the air intake system for any leaks, if you cannot find any then also check your air filter and fuel filter for blockages

usually if the revs are not high enough for each gear then you will get the juddering that you are getting as this would be with you saying that when you accellerate the juddering goes away so just give the car a few more revs than normal
