A CV joint gaiter, also known as a CV boot or constant velocity joint boot, is a protective covering for the CV joint on a driveshaft. CV joints are used in front-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive, and some rear-wheel-drive vehicles to allow the driveshaft to transmit power to the wheels while accommodating the varying angles and movements of the suspension.
