Mr. Russell is a gem of a mechanic. When I had this warning sign in my dash board about the trans axial the AA said its the problem of the gear box and they recovered my car. Next day when I drove the car the warning sign has disappeared and the car drove normally. To have peace of mind I decided to have it checked and contacted few workshops. One was Wavetree Automatics which given me wrong diagnosis without running a diagnostics and asked me to get the gear box rebuilt for £3,400/ Then I contacted Croydon Automatics in Merton Park and Mr. Russell asked me to bring the car to his work shop to have it checked on the ramp and run a diagnostics test to pin point the problem if the car has any. At the given appointed time he put the car on the ramp and checked it underneath thoroughly and run a diagnostics test, which one should do to find the real problem with the car. And no guess work. He took £85/ pound plus vat for the test and found the result was all positive for the whole sections of the car. like engine, transmission etc etc. And he even given me full confidence to drive my car to any length as it was driving normally. Although he could not find out why the warning sign came in dash board and there was no answer for that. Any I somehow avoided a hefty repair charge and gained peace of mind. Thank you Russell.
