I asked them to check my car to see what problem it has and quote me accordingly to fix my car. They asked me to come back after 3 hours so that they can quote me. When I went back after 3 hours, they asked me to pay £30 for the initial diagnostic scanning and refused to help me without me paying them. I asked them why they called me back after 3 hours when they were not ready to give me a quote for my car repair and why they wasted my trip and time, to which I did not get any satisfactory answer. Also, I told them that I can buy a small scanner from eBay/amazon for £18 and do the scanning by myself and £30 they are charging is very UNFAIR PRICE, which is the cost of one-time scanning only, whereas if I buy the scanner, it can be used over and over again. I told them to do the scanning, find the problem and tell me how much it will cost to fix the problem and I was willing to get my car fixed from them, but I did not get any help at all. I also felt that the owner of the business had very rude and uncivil behaviour. In my opinion they are ripping people off and charging them the higher price assuming people would fall in their trap and on the top of that, they are impolite as well. SAVE YOURSELF FROM THEM, especially from their “INITIAL DIAGNOSTIC” trick. BUY A SCANNER AND DO THE DIAGNOSTIC YOURSELF. How to do it? I have been using Foxley's for many years and I would highly recommend them. They are friendly and helpful, so straightforward to deal with. If you're looking for a plush reception area serving coffee, don't go to Foxleys! None of that unnecessary stuff, but just genuine staff who won't rip you off, who'll just repair and replace what's needed.

When i moved to Purley, i chose Foxley for my MOT and ive been using them ever since. Recently, I thought something major had gone wrong with my car, Foxley told me differently, fixed the problem and just asked that I buy them some tea bags as it was an easy solve. I had to find a reliable garage after my firms car was handed back some 4 years ago, for MOT and servicing .

As Foxley was local I gave them a try .

I have been using them ever since.

They have always been honest, reasonably priced and do not carry out additional work that is unnecessary .

I went to Foxley Motors after a well known national chain of tyre and brake fitters (you can't get 'kwicker' then them - apparently) tried to rip me off.

Suspecting that I had been told a pack of lies by the 'kwik fitter', I went to Foxley Motors who fixed my car for £40! This was a whole £260 something less than I was quoted by the National chain.

They are the first garage I have been to in as long as I can remember who just fixed what was wrong with my car rather than trying to replace as many things as they can in order to generate work for themselves.

I will absolutely go back there and have recommended them to all of my friends.

I have used Foxley Motors to service and MOT our vehicles for all of the nearly 20 years that I have lived in Purley and have never had cause to make a complaint. Great service and useful expert advice is the hallmark of this business and I would have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone who is looking for good service at reasonable prices. The only thing can needs to be considered is that they are very popular and busy, so you will sometimes need to book your appointment a good time in advance.
I am expecting to soon move permanently to Edinburgh so unfortunately it might be a bit difficult for me to continue to take advantage of such a good local business on my doorstep.

I and my family have used them for many years and without doubt they are the best. Honest as well repairing / servicing on time.

Simply we wouldn't use anyone else, between us with have 5 cars of all different makes and they have always come up trumps
