I put my car in for just it's 2nd MOT. They told me I needed completely new brakelines! I could not beleive this was needed on a car this age so I checked myself. This wasn't needed and the car was subsequently issued an MOT elsewhere. If I didn't have the confidence to check myself I would have had a bill for around £1000.
