I've been taking our bikes and car here for a few years now. Whether its an MOT or repair, the service has always been first class. Also had some powder coating done on my wife's Ducati a couple of years ago - they still look like new! Great bunch of lads - I always spend more time chatting about bikes after the work is done!!!

I've been coming here with my cars for at least 25 years, though I live some miles away- that says it all really. A good old-fashioned firm in the best sense of the words. I found someone trustworthy and helpful and stuck with them. Top-notch powder-coating too- they'll tackle anything in my experience.

I have been taking my OLD car here for a number of years and have had excellent service every single time.They are always helpful and pleasant,and accomodating.The prices are never inflated so I feel this is an asset to our little community.Would like to keep the information to myself, but just couldn't help myself!

Had our VW Golf mk5 serviced here and fixed for a Manifold Flap Fault. The service was 1st class and the car runs beautifully now. These guys were personally recommended by a friend and I have been really impressed and pleased to find such a good quality local garage. I would have no problem recommending Wilkinsons to anyone.

thanks for the fantastic comments guys.we have been coating and blasting now for around 12 years and with all the publicity we keep getting in i feel we must be doing a good job for you guys out there in restoration land.most of us here are enthusiasts ourselves in one way or another so there is always plenty of opinions if you have something your not too sure about.we have a variety of colours which is changing all the time so if anyone is looking for something a bit different give us a call (mmm that reminds me ,i wonder how a certain chap is getting on with his custom bike frame which he gave to me with the instruction ..."just go a bit mad with it"...as i recall it finished with candy apple red blending into prismatic black with a high gloss clear coat and looked fantastic)..we are learning all the time and keep trying out differenet materials to get the best on offer for you fellas out there ...also trying to keep the costs down where we can,to make life a bit more affordable...so if youve used us before we hope to see you again...if you hav'nt used us before think about this, anyone can put powder coat on after all its easy but to get a good finish on something that really matters takes ,care,time,consideration and a someone who is dedicated to doing it right ...cheers ,mike (J J WILKINSON POWDER COATING)

Needed a car chassis blast cleaning, after which I was going to paint it myself , they kept the chassis for me until we had a dry spell (their idea) so that I could get paint on it before an any rust could form. Did a great job of cleaning a complex chassis.

I heard about this company via a pal, he firmly recommended them. He was absolutely correct! I needed a motorcycle frame and sundry brackets re-finishing, Wilkinsons did a superb job. The powder coating was so well applied, I needed to add extra frame to engine earths as the engine was electrically isolated from the frame by the powder coating.

I have restored many bikes and had various qualities of paint jobs, Wilkinsons is easily the best.
