Amazing garage. I viewed my new car before it was prepared and we are so impressed with the end result. No problems to date with this car so thanks to Pines for a great little car.

Recently bought small car for my son and car is in a very good condition, my son is very pleased. Service was fine over all but didn't offer me a hot drink as it has been cold and rainy day.

We never got past the first stage of inquiry about a second hand XC90 volvo due to how rude and condescending the sales man was. I asked to speak to his manager, he informed me that he was the manager !
I seriously can not believe someone can sell anything with that kind of attitude. I would not touch this dealership with a barge pole .

Having purchased car found a problem with it.having phoned several times and visiting same amount they finally got it resolved after a month. Also having advertised the car with service history it was not there.so if buying a car make sure you test drive before and check that all the paperwork is present before handing over any money !

Purchased a car for the wife, after 6 weeks the turbo failed, this was replaced with no arguments, engine had to be stripped to clean out any debris which may have occurred from the turbo failure. All done, car has been perfect since then.
Could not fault the service

I recently bought a second hand car from Pines and must say I have had probably the best customer service I have had! They were polite, kept all promises and cut me a fair deal. The car has been great all bar one small issue which they fixed the next day. Would definatly recomend to friends and family.

Bought a car recently from PINES, found the salesman friendly and not in your face, did offer warranty and a protective coating for the car but not pushy about it. Told us the car would be valetted before pickup and although cleaner than when we viewed it, it wasnt gleaming and the interior smelt abit stale and some of the seats were still stained. Damaged rear light had been replaced as promised and the car was ready early. No worries about the car and overall a good service and good staff.

Very similar comments to those already posted. Salesman very pushy and insincere. Lots of pressure to buy warranty. Rude or patronisng when phoning to discuss problems with the car. Did not phone back when promised to. Numerous problems with the car which are still not rectified. Like other posters would have been nice to find a local garage which we could have had some loyalty to and as we are a six car family we could have a put a lot of custom their way. Their loss in the long run as will never use them again or recommend them.

DIFFICULT TO REVIEW - The car bought has been great and very happy with the price paid - The salesmen were too salesmany for my liking - eg when ringing to check vehicle was still there tod others interested had just left, woul keep it for an hour or so - i seriously doubted this... had to push to get the few things needed to be done completed - but they werte done -
I think they need to tone it down and people would feel more confident - all said I am pleased with the car so maybe this is the most impotant thing!!

Just purchased a car from here, to be fair to them mine is all ok, When I first saw the car there were a few minor issues with it but these were sorted for pick up (all be it tempory messures)The car had also been cleaned and smelt fresh.
I would say for sure that the dealers do need a lesson or two in customer service, and due to this, I probably would not reccomend them to any body I know.
When I turned up to collect the car I felt I was holding the dealer up as he wanted to go out. I felt very rushed and and not at all comfortable with the customer service after I had paid the deposit. Forms were not explained nor signed with ease, when asked something about the car, dealer did not know the answers even tho the auto trader advert stated the car came with things the dealer had no clue. When it comes to selling this car again, I am certain I will not be using Pines to part-x or purchase my next car.

Do not buy from here, quick to take your deposit, but will not refund it. Cars in awful conditions inside and supposidly valeted. Its a disgrace to even advertise and promote this garage. No customer support etc. Good luck if you do buy from here.

I concur with the majority of negative comments seen on this review particularly regarding post sales support. We bought the car with what I thought was a driver's handbook in the glove compartment - it turned out to be otherwise (it was the service history book) I have contacted Pines Garage (Olivers of Southampton) several times before and after Christmas; have spoken to the Sales Manager several times who, having sold me the car, says he cannot authorise the purchase of said missing handbook and has referred the matter to his boss who, it seems, refuses to phone me back. There are, I'm sure, some good second hand dealers out there who would value your referral/s for future business - apparently not this company. I paid several thousand pounds for the car, I'm sure they made sufficient profit from the deal (that's O'kay) but all I want is a simple handbook - is that asking too much. Sorry but they've blotted their copybook. How can you recommend such people with such poor after sales? Their motto must be 'get the money and close the door' !

Recently bought my car from Pines, had been looking for this particular model for ages, car had just come in and was in excellent condition when I viewed and I paid the hefty deposit. The car was damaged during it's time parked on their premises and they made me pay towards the damage - but I wanted the car and had paid a good price for it. I found they were very dissinterested - with a complete lack of customer care. I had to ring them constantly for updates and they took another 4 days to fix the little problems that I had to pay for (after I told them I had their money)
I must say that this was not a great experience - they gave me pittance for my car and I must say they got a great deal - but they werent interested in doing anything that took away from their profits! Left me to drive away with abseloutley NO DIESEL, no tax disc holder AND they hadnt even bothered to clean it, let alone valet it...Very poor customer service and I could've put plenty business their way...but I wont be. Lovely car though.

Bought a car from this garage, which had a "few minor problems" to be fixed before we could take it away. On day of collection, central locking and elec windows had not been fixed, so they booked it into the garage they use next door to be fixed. As soon as they took my money they had absolutly no intrest atall in any of the endless problems we had, and on occasions were very rude, blunt and tried to be intimidating. We had 3 months warrenty, and upto a few weeks before this we were still experiencing quite major problems with the car which were there from day one. I was repetedly fobbed off, and came worried they were dragging it out untill my warrenty ran out. They promised me it would be put right whether my warrenty had run out or not because it was an ongoing problem. Anyway, had to chase them up (again) to book it in as the garage, and guess what..... Cant do a thing now mate, your warrantys out, we didnt promise anything!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

Felt very pressured into placing a deposit on a car by a very pushy salesman. After careful thought decided it was not the right car for us was refused a refund and the salesman was very rude!!!

I have purchased a car in january of this year from this garage and found the them very easy and proffesional to deal with.No high presure and they did every thing they said they would.I have recommended them to people at work and two people have brought and were pleased with the service.
I will be back for my next service.

My son purchased a Megane from Pines and unfortunately it started using oil at a high rate. My view is these things can happen. What I wasn't prepared for was the total lack on interest from Pines in trying to rectify the problem. The car has been with their repairers since Monday, it's now Thursday morning and we have still no feedback from them as to what the fault is. Watch this space.
