A E Cook Ltd

I have been an A E Cook customer for many years and often contact / visit them for car parts. Invariably, they have what I need in stock - even some quite obscure bits. I've even - jokingly - tested them out with parts needed for a (fictitious) Wartburg, amongst others! Friendly, helpful staff. Hope to be a customer for a long time to come.

I totally agree with the above review but i think someone needs to address there returns service as it is pathetic.
I bought a starter motor for my van only to find after 3 weeks it started to fail and refused to turn over the engine.
I returned the starter to the scunthorpe branch only to be told they would not exchange it but needed to send it away to germany to be checked.
I asked what i was to do about a starter whilst all this was going on and they said buy another one, ok i said if i do that and other is proved faulty you will give me my money back.
No was the reply they will repair the starter and send it back but if i have bought a replacment starter from you i dont need 2 so its no good to me.
But they didnt seem to care and said that wasnt there problem as there only agents for the people that supply the stuff there policy is no refunds no matter what.
For some stupid reason they could not see why i was making a fuss but if you went to get an exhaust and it was leaking you would not expect them to remove the faulty system fit a new one then charge you for both of them.
Needless to say i didnt buy another starter from them and wont do so ever again

The best Auto car parts ever. Have used them for more years then I would care to remember . FIRST CLASS Service. You can not go wrong with these people. Just try them and you will see for yourself .
