Remote control
The car does not respond to the remote control and can't be opened. The battery of the remote control has been changed recently. What to do?

A droning noise

Engine smoke
after starting smoke comes from under bonnet,seems to come from passenger side,and lasts for about 20 /30 seconds,doesnt do it all the time,could it be to do with temperature

Hello people,
I am the proud owner of a Jaguar S Type, 1999 model, 3 litre V6 automatic. The colour on log book states silver, but it is more very pale green in colour. This car is the SE model and comes with all the goodies, inc satnav. 68,000miles only and genuine. Cost to buy 7 months ago was £2,300.00, bought privatly from Chesterfield, with 6 months tax and mot.
So far I have changed all discs and pads with pattern parts from off e-bay £130.00 the lot, oil and filter change, recharged aircon, waxoiled underneath of car ready for winter.
Gas milage is quite good, motorway - 35mgg+ urban 23-25mpg which for a large 3litre saloon car is very good in my opinion.
There was one problem on the road when in Mansfield, the "T" piece on top of engine, which is part of the cooling system sprung a leak, I managed to get to Halfords and purchase an off the shelf "T" and 3 clips, 10 minutes and I was back on the road. Apart from this I have had no problems with the vehicle and consider I got a lot of car for the money.
