Ford Escort Gearbox & Clutch Problems

when changing gear it has become hard to get them in, im pushing the clutch down all the way but they just seem really stiff.

every time i lft the clutch my gearbox grinds can anyone tell me the easiest way to remove it so i can repair or replace many thanks marc
