Citroen Berlingo Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss Problems

When I depress accelerator, while cruising, I sometimes get an increase in revs (engine races)but theres no acceleration.

On 5 occasions over the last 6 months or so,the car has cut-out and not able to restart straight away,however,after 10 minutes or so of trying it starts up but engine management light is on,then goes out after several miles,it runs perfecly...
