The Problem
car woudnt start, tried jump leads & got the car started. as soon as the leads were removed the car died. bought new battery and this seemed to solve the problem, but twenty miles down the road the new one went died.
put the old one on a battery charger & the charger says fully charged !!!

most likely the peoblem is the alternator not charging havre this tested just to be sure but i would say it shte alternator that is the problem ie not charging the battery on your freelander

Cant explain why the flat battery you removed is showing as fully charged .Have you tested alternator output ?
