Peugeot 307 car wont start

The Problem
when the key is turned the engine turns over and the headlights come on, it will not fire an start up and there no are ignition lights coming on either aswell as the clock display etc. the doors will also not lock and there is basically no sign of any electrics working apart from the engine cranking over.

i would say you have a electrical fault ie immobiliser fault possibly have a auto electrition take a look

check the body earth strap and the ignition switch and wiring multiplugs

ive cleaned the earth strap to the car body and now everything lights up works etc, great, the problem now is that the engine turns over and still wont fire. i noticed the doors will not lock with the key remote and neither with the door lock button on the dash, i have had the battery disconnected aswell, any ideas?

try taking out the shunt fuse for 15 mins its marked hs then when you put it back first switch on the sidelights then try ign and then cranking

Question
I have a 54 reg Peugeot 307HDI which has an intermittent starting problem, When your look at the dash light they is no orange engine management light and it wont start however if you turn it off and wait it will after a few tries come on and then the engine will start? any ideas as to what this fault may be?
