The Problem:

Please can anyone help i have water leaking in my drivers side footwell for quite awhile now and it has just got alot worse.I have tryed my hardest to find out where this is coming from as you can imagine. And what has made it alot more annoying is it has for the first time made the emissions light come on is that caused by the water leak??My car has just past its MOT bout a week ago,I have had several garages not want to know or can"t be bother to look as it be like looking for a needle in a haystack!Tis is ment to be my pride and joy but not at the mo....

Suggested Solution

Dont think the emission light would be caused by your water leak, a common place for the corsa to let water in is the seal around the brake servo, it goes hard over time and cracks, i used some silicon on my sisters car to keep the water out. you will have to remove the scutle panel, cabin filter inlet and the washer bottle and you then have access to the seal. Hope this helps.

I have had this problem with the emissions light before, after a dry spell the light went out without resetting, cos everytime we had it RESET there was no fault..I have got it just booked in for 2mora at one garage who is intrested to have a look.I hope this doesnt cost me lots as its just had new exhaust and many more things to get through MOT..thanks for ya reply mel

Solution 2

Suggested Solution

Another possibility for the water leak could be the the drainage pipe in the scuttle tray, this gets clogged with dirt, leaves and debris. It is a short rubber pipe that comes from the bulk head and into the engine compartment...
