Citroen Xsara Picasso Water leak passenger side

2002 Citroen Xsara Picasso Problem

The Problem:

Hi all..my wife's Picasso is leaking water from the passenger side underneath footwell it seems..thought it was just rain at first but had a nasty bitter taste so maybe something a but more serious? Had a similar problem with a freelander few weeks ago which needed waterpump some seals and a thermostat housing..hoping it's a cheap fix? Cheers

Bear in mind that the heater will still work ok even if the matrix is leaking.
Perhaps get your head in the footwell with a GOOD light and have a look round

had the same problem,it turn out to be the pipe connected to the matrix, one bolt missing. take the lower interior panel off, quite easy, look for white deposit, thats where the leak will be. i changed the matrix to be on the safe side 20 on ebay mine was also2002
