The Problem
just bought my vectra from the auctions and dont have the handbook a light came on after i had drove about 60 miles looked like an engine stayed on for about 2 days(30 miles)then went off also the engine temperature dropped to 0 for a short while then went back to normal any ideas would be welcome!!!

i would say its just a bad connection or even a sensor on its way but for what it costs to replace the sensor put a new one in and see how you go
