Suggested Solution

Anything from unbalanced tyres to worn bushings can cause accelerated wear.
but not in a few miles.
Sounds more like a faulty bearing.

Never in a million years after a few miles .Wheel would have to have so much play / wear it would be virtually hanging of . Sounds like wrongly fitted , damaged when fitting or wrongly torqued .
