Hi can anyone help the auto roof on my 54 pug 307 not completing it's sequence. I press the operating switch and the window lower and the boot starts to open but then it stops and I get a message BOOT MECHANISM NOT LOCKED . I've took apart the boot lock itself and it all is working fine, opening and closing as it should when the button is pressed can someone help many thanks

I think this can be caused by a sticking micro switch , but usually requires scanning to ascertain for sure .

Way I read this is the sensor that tell the ECU the boot is locked isn't working.
Rather than the lock itself.

Thank you for your response i've checked all the micro switches I can see could you tell me where the sensor would be that tells the ecu that the boot is locked.? If I open the boot and try to open the roof then I do it a different message telling me that the boot is open . Many thanks

Does the roof unlock properly...it sounds like the front lock is either sticking or one of the switches is faulty

could check the wiring that runs across the boot lower mechanism as I have known it to be stretched and broken .A PP2000/Planet would help as you can see what each micro switch is doing in sequence.

Hi everyone thanks for your help I have it booked in today to have it scanned to try and find the problem. I'm sure as you say it is a faulty micro switch but finding the one is the problem lets hope the scan will find it. Will keep you informed of the outcome.many thanks
