Recently bought a 55 plate laguna 1.9dci (stop gap really). In last couple of days the brake warning light illuminates with a warning tone even when approaching a give way or stop line at normal speed. It does the same even when pulling away under ordinary conditions.
I'm hoping it's a simple fixable gremlin however with renaults dodgy electrics history I'm not so sure. Any ideas?

Brand new pads and brake fluid reservoir full. A few days before the warning started a quick once over by local garage identified a corroded brake pipe. Garage cut and re connected the offending section however I've noticed a reasonable sized patch on the road in the last few days. I'm guessing the connection wasn't completely successful and the warning may be due to pressure loss? (although by applying the foot brake the system appears to be maintaining it's pressure)

With the brake work carried out I would check wiring at ABS wheel sensors .
