You would be better getting the car into dealership for examination and confirmation that it will be replaced under warranty or not .Heard different stories on similar faults with Hyundai in regard to warranty claims .USUALLY if bearing is defective it would be covered under warranty .With an ex hire car you never know if someone sat with their foot pressing on the pedal while they were driving which doesn't help .

This confirms one of the points I've read and heard about .

" No Hyundai dealership is authorised to perform warranty work until they have established with Hyundai themselves that the repair is covered by warranty.

My dealer ensures that you sign a form stating that they are authorised by you (not Hyundai) to investigate the issue which is at your cost until it is established the issue is warranty. "
