When I turn on ignition the headlights and wipers immediately turn on - without switching them on. The indicators don't work, nor do the controls for lights or wipers.

I do have the car and the problem just emerged recently. It was exacerbated recently after I washed the car with a power jet. What's a BCM?

If you washed it with a pressure washer it sounds like you have forced water into a fusebox or a connector somewhere.Did you use the pressure washer in the engine bay

I am continuing to have intermittent problems with this, and a Nissan garage has had trouble identifying the problem - since it never seems to happen when they have the car - but are suggesting a new BCM without any guarantee that this is the rememdy. I am loath to pay out the substantial sum without some assurance that this will fix the issue. Any thoughts?
