Hi not a Hilux,no section for my car, lucida, the seat belts wont work on the car,,but work of the car ???,the inertia wont lock when pulled fast,or slow,or hard, took them of the front, and you pull them fast they lock every time,at any angle, put them back on the car, will not work, they can only go on one way,you cant put back wrong, bought new ones, they do the exact same thing, just what is wrong, because it has me totally stumped,on old cars if you got the angle wrong they would not lock under load,BUT these can only be fitted one way,has any one got the answer, thanks tony

This has got me stumped also. I can't understand how they work off the car and not in position. I take it they both just started doing this - that would be unusual, or has the car had some sort of work done. Can they be fitted wrong way from left to right etc as opposed to front and back. Sounds like you have the wrong sides on the wrong side.

Yes - it's certainly got me stumped. I worked in the motor trade for 13 years (10 with Toyota) and it has me stumped. It's the sort of thing you really want to get hold of the car and mess about with it to see what's going on and how to sort it. I take it you've asked a Toyota dealer about it? Good luck. Ian
