Today I made the 300 mile round trip to pick up the GT2 after the starter motor's epic fail on Saturday morning.

It was all fixed under the extended warranty, which I decided to go ahead and renew whilst I was there. I wasn't going to do it and it runs out in around a week, this was a timely reminder that for £1000 it's a fair hedge against component failures on a car where visits to the Porsche Centre can easily go into 4 figures.

The new starter motor is brilliant, it fires up like a brand new car, the old one must have been on it's way out since I bought the car 3 years ago as it's never sounded like this one.

The 150 mile drive home was pretty dull, but at least it was dry, she's now all tucked up in the garage ready for the next drive Happy
